Introductions first - my name is Chris

...and my role in Camden Calling is making things behind the scenes run smoothly. My main duties are writing the newsletter, creating press releases, and promoting CC online.

I’ve been a part of this organisation since early November 2008, and in that space of time I’ve witnessed the project grow at an amazing speed. At every team-meeting I see new faces with innovative, fresh ideas enabling this worthy cause to develop in to a thriving part of the local music scene.

CC allows me to connect with honest, non-judgmental, talented people, and at the same time become a part of the music scene. My life over the past 18 months has seen many changes, and despite a successful 6 month re-hab course, I was concerned my past would limit my opportunities. I thought that pre-conceived ideas about addiction would mean I was labeled for life. In CC, I found an organisation that looked deeper - to find the real me.

The energy, drive, and enthusiasm shown by CC members is incredible. When you consider these are vulnerable people who have been through tough times, the passion shown is amazing. This, along with genuine musical talent, makes this a special orgnaisation to be a part of.
